Royal Mail postmen/postwomen

We had a brilliant postman for months. He always made sure our post was looked after. He used to put my parcels in my shed for me (my responsibility if they got pinched) and he always knew when I was not there to receive my parcels.

This week we have got someone who this morning left all the streets gates open and dropped red elastic bands all down my path. He also left a parcel of mine (only plants) outside my front door. Now we have no houses facing us, we are just a row of terraces opposite a railway embankment, anyone could have stolen my parcel in full view of passers by.

I went to the parcel delivery office in Bury and complained and the nice man there promised to tell the manager and he said it was not good that he was leaving a mess. I told him I would like the old postie back.

Why do people not have respect for properties that they deliver to???

because they are employed part time with very poor training and see the job as a stepping stone to a decent job :)

FYI your 'old' postie is risking his/her job leaving those packages regardless of you knowing about it.
do him/her a favour and put it in writing to your delivery office that the shed is your designated safeplace

That reminds me of a stand in postman we had about a year ago - He was from Holland I recall. Anyway, he was in such a hurry, practically sprinting to get round as quickly as possible but as a result he ended up delivering most of the post to the wrong addresses. I managed to speak to him at one point and it turned out he was in a hurry because he had another job on the go somewhere else.

Thankfully he wasnt around for long and I hvnt seen him since :j

My mother has wrong mail delivered to her almost every day. She cannot get out much to put these back in the box, and so worries about it until we can do it for her.

Today she got a letter that had originally been delivered to the shop at the corner. It was for a hospital appointment yesterday!
