I love it when credit card companies call!

I had a great phone call the other day from MBNA

Him: Hello this is Rashid from MBNA. How are you today?
Me: I’m fine thanks
Him: Good, we have a great offer for you today
Me: Okay
Him: You can transfer all your other credit card and store card debt on to your card at 0% for 9 months
Me: I don’t have any other cards or debt.
Him: Oh well we can transfer up to your balance (£10,000) cash in to your current account to pay for home improvements or a holiday
Me: I don’t own my own home and I have already paid cash for my holiday.
Him: Would you like to take out PPI for you card?
Me: It has a balance of £0.00 what to do you think?
Him: Thanks for your time goodbye

Sat and had a little giggle to myself!

If the transfer fee was low, I'd have taken the 9,500 (will be 95% of your credit limit probably) and stuck it in a high interest account and repaid them the minimum payments from it, clearing the balance before the 0% ran out.

Then I'd have taken the money I'd just made from them and spend it on a bottle of wine and have a giggle and a glass :)

... a trick missed. If you'd done what cannyjock said then you'd have had roughly £200 from that deal if you are a normal rate taxpayer.

    Ah the uninvited phonecall
This morning was million pound lottery......"No I don't do the lottery........My church doesn't allow it"
Yesterday was some loans company "Oh no I don't have any debts since I won the lottery"
I'm always nice to them because I think it's a rotten job and anyone doing it must be desperate-but I amuse myself with unanswerable reasons why I'm not interested.
