I've recent;y bought a spciuous 3 bedroom house. the plumbing has been channeled throughpuit by the builder. the plumber is working on a fixed price. he has recently told me that i need a new boiler and it should cost £800. I said i would investigate and asked him to send me the details of a boiler so that i could get a quote fom a comany that new to compare. The company that is a familt friend a wouldn't rip me off but would give me a discount. the plumbers list came back at £1400 for all the things he needed. Basically the boiler.
Now is the plumber giving me false info to give to the company so that i go back to him and deal though himself so that he can earn some extra bucks or is he being honest?

Good afternoon: If you have the model and make of condensing boiler you can check the prices online yourself...make sure you add in the flue components, condensate waste disposal, controls (TRVs, programmable roomstat), flushing of CH system with Fernox or Sentinel and the addition of inhibitor to the system and sundries. Whoever installs your new boiler, ensure the installation is notified (you should receive one of these in the post http://www.trustcorgi.com/consumer/Documents/119O2B%20Building_Regulations_Compliance%20sample%20Sept%2006.pdf) and the CORGI completes the Benchmark Log. If you do a search on this forum, you'll find more info on new boiler installations. Also excellent advice available here http://www.miketheboilerman.com/newboilercost.htm
