Sounds obvious but there are only specific items that will go through at half price. I bought something earlier today that was 1/2 price to health club members and its scanned at full price. Told SA that I was a member but hadn't received my 'pack' yet and she put it through at half price. Apparently, you have to take the voucher from the pack you receive into the store and they scan it and then you are a fully fledged member. (That's what I was told today by SA).

I had a lovely surprise waiting for me tonight after work, had emailed Boots last week over a couple of issues and they had sent two written replies! One with a No7 GWP and the other with a £15 gift card. Fab customer service.

A lovely Bootser had also posted me some of the S&G ACM vouchers as I havent been able to get to a store recently so am going to stock up on treats for myself.

If I use my gift card can i still collect points as usual? Not had one before as do most of my orders online.

100 points on boots expert soap (87p) beeped, SA said "you didn't buy any expert" oh yes I did, I says, the soap. She looks in the bag and says "oh thats the travel size, its only on full size products"

I said, oh I've changed my mind then, don't want the soap. She glares at me, and then deletes that item... goes to throw the coupon in the drawer but I say, I haven't used that yet!

Scans the S&G bag (btw Colchester has oodles of them!) at 0.00 and tuts loudly. Scans the mag and says "the mag is a £1" I say, no, its free for advantage cards, she glares at me again.
Got the S&G (err soap thing, forget the name but its £4.99) + 200pts + 200 pts
341 on 17 worked ok with 2 eye pencils and the lip glaze :p
Till spits out the hair £2 voucher and a survey doofer for me to fill in :rotfl:

She then smiled (presume it was a smile?! - maybe she was having a bad day )

Walked out, on the way out saw 400pts if you buy any nivea Q10 product, but the cheapest items had long gone:( but hey, tomorrows another day!

    :T

Will be back there tomorrow for the same I think! :j

Hi tried to get the "free" S&G bag (with other bits to disguise the freeness)today in Elk Mill Oldham but the SA spotted it & said I couldnt have it for free despite it scanning at £0.00 so she put it through as beauty at £2.50, needless to say I told I'd leave it.:(

The oldish lady with the white curlyish hair is really nice about letting glitches go through. So maybe try her. If you can get friendly with her she even tells me of them! Shes great. And the male manager at the pharmacy is great at scanning all vouchers too and more often than not will manually add them for me if they dont scan. Dont ever buy from the No7 stand though, the lady there acts like the money comes out of her own pocket and refuses more than one voucher, ever!

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

I'm in the health club and my items don't ring up at 50 percent off. I've double checked my account online to make sure I'm in it. What should I do?
There's a known problem with some of the ACM's, it knocks off your health club discount after you've had your card in one. This happened to me recently, the day after I had activated and used my discount. If you tell the SA they will apply the discount manually for you, they have a barcode that they can scan.

You've just reminded me that I need to ring customer services about mine.

PS Have you had the voucher in the mailing scanned to activate your health club discount?

I was just having a wander, and I spotted this post.

I know you're a generous lot, and that you do what you can, so I hope you don't mind me posting this up in the hope that people here read it, and maybe send or card or something. It's here:

    Thanks x

I've sent cards and gifts to kids on this site b4, it is a fab site, but prepare yourself for tears.
If anybody got a cheap 341 on 17 and was going to put it in a hamper or as school fete prizes, then why not send it to one of the older girls on this site, I've just sent mine, my good deed for the day!
