Well, I bought the Oral-B 8500 toothbrush today and my 2000 points coupon wouldn't scan anyway!

It was such a performance; after she confirmed that I'd bought the correct toothbrush she said "Well, I'm certainly not adding 2000 points manually".
Her colleagues on either side of her both said the same thing too ("2000?? Oh no, I couldn't possibly add those manually").

After ten minutes of faffing around I told her I didn't see what the problem was since I'd bought the correct item. She went off to talk to someone else and I got talking to the SA next door who said no-one wanted to add them on manually since it was such a large amount of points.

Eventally a young SA was found who was happy to manually add them. I don't know why some SAs are so unhelpful; I guess it might be queried at some point, but the SA had a valid explanation for adding 2000 points and colleagues to back her up.

    Rant over!

Freddie - be prepared for a battle!
P.S. The Save 1/3 on electric toothbrushes ended today, but some other brushes are on offer from tomorrow, so I hear. ;)
Johnny, I know what you mean about the SA's and points but one of them did tell me once that she wasn't allowed to add points manually, she did ask another SA though (not a supervisor) so I guess it's a seniority thing.

Well it is a seniority thing as not all staff can add points.

Also points can only be added up to 1000.
This means you had to have 1000 points added in two consecutive transactions which means that your helpful SA will be pulled in front of her store security team at the end of the week to explain why her till log shows fraudulant behaviour.

To be honest I wouldn't have added them on for you either, I'd have called a manager to do it for you because, you may not believe it, but Boots security is unbelievably strict towards staff and lots of people have been suspended etc because they've added points, even when their manager has OKed it, the manager has pretended not to know about it when security are interviewing them.

So please, before you moan about "unhelpful" SAs, just think that they are probably saying no to keep their jobs...*rant over*

Sam they have got them in Broughton nr Chester, they had tons on Sunday ~ big signs up though saying "free gift with 3 or more purchases of MF" Didn't realise what I had missed out on til I got home, but have figured that perhaps I might have been too chicken to do it anyway...but a good excuse brought up today ( I can't remember who came up with this gem but Thanks!!) "Oh the other items must have come out of my basket!!"

Went to worcester boots to see if hatboxes were reduced further - nope! So went to clearance part, not very hopeful, but managed to get 3 blue boxes, wrapped in a bow which went through the til at £3.25 each. They were old GWP's according to the till, and include a mini of p&p, botanics, No 7, 17 etc. Thought they'd make fab gifts. Paid with points and added to gift cupboard!
    Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£25

I have missed out loads. The last time I posted was on the previous thread!

I've been keeping out of Boots as was spending too much money!!! As I need to save every penny to pay off our huge debts so, that we can afford to have another baby, I realised that I really needed to cut back. As much as most of the things I have got are a real bargain I have had to stop and think to myself 'do I really need them and could I use them?'
I'm the same ! Have had to keep away from Boots due to S&G vouchers as I would have spent a fortune:rotfl: . Nothing to entice me in at the moment. Come on Mr. Boots - where's your next proper glitch! (No sign of MF GWP in my local Boots).

I was in the queue in boots the other day and 2 ppl in front had to have points added (not sure what for) When I came to use expert coupon they had to do points manually too and the sa next to her said "our names are certainly going to flashing on their screens today with all these manual points we're doing".
This makes sense with them not wanting to add yr points.

To those that go to Aldershot, its now moved back to where it used to be towards the pharmacy, and weighing scales.

Lots of Naked sachets at 50p, Sanctuary reduced some £2.47 some £4.47 etc. Looked a bit battered apart from one. Was too busy running after my daughter at closing time to be bothered trying to see if it worked with the £3 voucher.

Had a few FCUK items as well and lots of Expert nipple cream for a £1.

Didn't help that I left the buggy in hubby's car so can't even go out again today......grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Silly me!!!!

has anybody used this voucher please and if so on what  thank you

As far as I can see, you can only use the voucher against the vitamins shown on it - which when I looked had a SEL of about £9.99:eek: - which is why I still have 5 of them in my purse.....

I would be delighted if anyone has found a use for them!

Hmm .... I wonder if they are on promotion with the 1/2 price Health Club thing - I will have a look later. Would be worth it if they were £4.99 with 300 points back but not at 9.99 ........ I shall investigate ! ;)

Edit: They are 20% off online @ £7.99 and on a 342 - will pop to my local store after school run and see if there are any promotions on them instore. Report back soon !
