It is silly really, because with the points on the card you are tied to buying from Boots, so if you get a lean month, the points are not as good as cash in your pocket to buy food!!
I'm currently using mine for the meal deal for me and 'im indoors. Were we to buy every work day, assuming we made the most of the 6 for 5 offer (which does work on points) that would use up £25ish per week. Our canteen is OK, but normally costs at least that per week, and is not nearly as nice. Forcing us out of the office is a good thing also.

I've tried spending in the sales, but only managed to spend about £60 this year - nothing like the rate at which I seem to acquire them.

I did consider buying some premier make up as a treat, but given the recent Lancome 'Buy two, get heaps free' nonsense, I can't bring myself to surrender points.

On the bright side, the eldest has just had a small boy with another on the way, so perhaps I should just get them sensible practical things.
So many glitches, so little time...

Well I went and had a look...
No MF GWP of any description to be seen in either Marketplace or North Road, I didn't go to the Arnison Centre.

There were a few Garnier hair colours and toothbrushes in North Road clearance, the usual King of shaves and Senokot in Marketplace, oh and they still have some S&G steamy showers sets £7.50 and the hatboxes still at £9.
Came home with nothing today, how virtuous am I? :A

Checked my local boots today - 2 S&G shower sets left @ £7.50 (i've got 2 and can't find an excuse to buy another one !) and hat boxes STILL at £9 ! I too, left with nothing but had a great excuse for going in - I had to activate my health club card so that I could get 1/2 price items.

Tbh, I do need some retail therapy - had a really bad day today (everything that could go wrong, has !) but i'm going to go and have a nice soak in the bath later and de-stress !

  • I went to Boots in Stirling today and got the hatbox for £4.50 (defo not worth £18 imho). I also got S+G Heel Genius + 400pts. I didn't see any reduced S+G stuff. Actually the reduced section was really poor, almost empty, the only thing i saw worth while was some sonicare replacement heads for £3. Hope that helps some one!
(Sorry I'm new to this and can't think what on earth I should be writing!!)

    update on Peterborough Queensgate store................................

I hate it !! Only just got magazines in , never have a clearance section and i dont think they even stock the hat boxes! The SA always query vouchers.
I can never find any of the offers mentioned on here , do you think the staff snaffle them all? In the last few days i have been all over the store--and been followed by the staff lol and have not found any good offers.
Does anyone else use this store ?

Thanks apples-9, people are always keen to hear about the clearance and bargains that are available in their areas.

Welcome to Bootsing and the friendliest thread on MSE!

Keep writing exactly what you've been writing about apples - that's great ! You've done a lot better than I did for my first (and subsequent!) posts - all I seemed to do was ask questions !

    Happy bootsing !
