Dishwasher Question

Sorry if this isn't in the right place!

My Phillips dishwasher is approx 7 years old and works well BUT for the last month or so it hasn't been getting rid of the tannin stains on the inside of the china tea mugs and I don't know why  I'm using the same dishwash tablets and rinse aid, the heating element isn't furred up and inside of the dw is clean. I have always used the quick wash (which isn't that quick anyway  ) if I use the hot wash, the stains are reduced somewhat but I don't know why it's happening now after all this time. Can someone enlighten me please?

Maybe the tablets have changed (in terms of ingredients?) but you haven't realised (are there any indications such as new improved formula on the box?)
Have you changed to a different tea?
Has your water become harder lately?
Have you turned down the temeprature of the hot water on your boiler?

    Good questions!

Tablets don't say new or improved so I'm afraid I don't know if there has been a change
I change my tea regularly - whichever is on offer :)
I live in a hard water area so it might be harder and I wouldn't notice.
The dishwasher heats water from cold.

Will will keep an eye open and see if the different brands of teas make a difference. I do know some cups are affected more than others.
    Thanks for responding :T
