ILOVEFILM Game rental!!!!

Hope this is in the right forum.

I'm disgusted with the service from ILOVEFILM, I finished my free trial in December 2007 and the service was fantastic. Since I have started paying for my rental which includes the game option (£18.99 per month) their service has been getting worse. I have fifteen games on my queue and not one of them is available to send to me, I emailed them tonight and I got this response:

:eek: Unfortunately, due to the higher cost of games and the longer time our members choose to keep them for, we are not currently able to offer the same 'turnaround' time for games as we do for DVDs, and delays are more likely to occur.

I have looked on their website and I cannot see anywhere that says that they cannot offer the same turnaround time for games as DVD's also since I'm paying the extra for the game option I would expect the same or even better turnaround. At this rate I will be lucky to rent 3 games per month!!!

If anyone else is considering renting games then beware that you might be waiting a long time.

Thankyou for this warning.Hubby is about to get a PS3 and he soon gets bored with games so when we found this website

http://www.swapgame.com/learn.html we thought what a good idea.They come out top in a survey of good value and customer service,but lovefilm are rated second!!

Any good or bad points from others on this type of rental?

Thanks for the heads up. Mind you I had to cancel my Lovefilm account as I couldn't log into my account and they were unable to fix that problem for me. I could access my list just not the account info. I had wanted to change my 5 disc deal to games as well at the time. Good job I didn't from the sound of it.

I found though that the service over about a year had various ups and downs as far as speed went. Around a holiday it was rubbish - worth taking a payment holiday at that time because it slowed down so much it almost stopped. Then it would speed up again. I wondered if they had staffing problems since all of the names on the labels were foreign.

Just to let you all know the 15 games I have on queue are 10 PS3 and 5 Wii games.

I have had 6 games on top priority since early January and I have never received any of these. I have had an email back today saying
**Please note that LOVEFiLM is primarily a DVD rental company that also allows customers to rent games as an addition. However, if you wish to rent games only then you may experience some delays.**

I have several films on my list but since they received my disks back on Wednesday they have not been able to allocate anything to me so it looks like I have too wait a week to receive any more games or films.
**I have used Swap Game in the past but Lovefilm offered me 3 months trial towards the end of last year including the addition of games.** Looks like I will be taking my custom else where.

I found Swapgame to be worse as I never recieved any of my top titles and when I cancelled they said it had taken over 7 days to receive back my games which I found a bit sneaky as it meant I was a day over the usual day they would take out the monthly charge so they charged me for an extra month even though they had cancelled my account which meant that they would not be sending out any more games even though I had paid the £20 monthly fee

Also with Swapgame make sure you always get a certificate of posting from the post office when you return games or they will charge you if they do not recieve a game back. **They have your card details so be warned **

I have looked carefully at this site,as monstermash was not happy with swap game.Can you give me more feedback on this company,have you had any problems at all,and how long have you been with them? Do you rent PS3 games?
