Mint Credit Card - Jobsworth Idiots

I am currently in the process of setting up an account with Mint - time for a new interest free period ;D
I got my credit agreement through, signed it and sent it back to Mint.
Several days later I phone them to see if it has been received which they confirm is the case.
I request that they set up a balance transfer for me to my existing credit card. I am told that this is not possible as the account is not activated until I receive the card. I request to speak to a supervisor and am informed that I am speaking with the supervisor.
I ask him if I had have filled out the balance transfer request on my application form, whether this transaction would have had to wait until I received my card before being carried out. To my surprise - NO - this would have been carried out straight away !!!!
So I ask him how can this be ??????? I have now had all the relevant checks done and have been accepted for an account, but cannot make a BT until I activate my card, but if I had stipulated a BT on my application form, this would have been carried out immediately. !!!!!! is that all about ? I have heard some serious BS in my time, but there doesn't even seem to be any logic behind this.
He tells me that because I am now a customer, there is a security issue with somebody intercepting my card in the post before I get it. YES, but surely this is the case with the application form BT request also. Plus in order for him to first speak with me, I have to answer umpteen question as to my mother's inside leg measurement etc for security.
So I have been accepted, I have answered all the security questions, but because I haven't got my card I can't make a BT. Compare this with - I get accepted for an account, don't have to answer any security questions, get a BT carried out before I recieve my card because I asked for one on my application.
To say I'm a little annoyed at this is an understatement. I think I will phone back later and hopefully speak to another supervisor, who is willing to get of his/her jobsworthy !!!!!! and provide one of their customers with a bit of service for a change !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rant over !!

I've just cancelled my MINT card because they tried to rip me off with the BT cheque system.
Only bonus with MINT is they do airmiles , but so do others.
Rip them large with the 0% then bin them off.0 -
Details please of how they tried to rip you off with BT cheques.

i used my balance transfers as a way to work out how much limit my Barclaycard had on it. The card was taking it's time arriving so i checked both my other cards to see if the BT had been done, and it had.
I've had my card over a month now and still haven't activated it... as far as i can see that just means my account is active but i can't use the physical card itself.0
