Does anybody know anything about this company, have found them on the web. I am looking for a new car and they have quoted me £14,400 on a car that is sitting in my local dealers showroom for £17,100. They say they are a non profit making organisation, my only worry is that they have only been going since June 2005. On the phone they sound ok, I give them a small deposit £500 and when the car is ready they will either deliver it or I can pick it up, and if I am not happy I do not have to proceed with the purchase.

Cant seem to find any press reports about them. Any help would be great.

I can't actually think of a reason why someone would run a business but give all the proceeds to a charity - lots of stress and hassle for no apparent gain. How does the price compare to other brokers prices?

They are about £1,000 pound cheaper. The site says that all profits on the cars goes to charity. They will also hold the car on the deposit untill September to get the new 55 plate, most brokers are offering pre - registered.

Sorry but it sounds fishy to me (no pun intended!)

I can't see how they can get a better rate on a new reg car than any other broker can on a pre-reg fon the current plate. The fact that they have only just set up lloks equally as dodgy - feel free to PM me the web address and i'll look things over for you.

On their website it does not say they are non profit making, only that they give some of the saving to charity!

I would never consider giving £500 as a deposit to a new company like this unless you know a lot more about the people involved.

Can you check with the car companies that they claim to "links together" (whatever that means)? See if they've heard of them & if they've dealt with the people in the past?

Thanks Fran for your email. Sorry I quoted them wrong. Have rung Mazda HQ who have never heard of them, and then a dealer located near them, who also havent heard of them. The dealer suggested that they might hold deposit and then they might tell you they can't locate the car you want and offer you an alternative. Our one alternative is to offer them a very low deposit and pay buy visa, and then are we covered if it all goes pear shaped. We mean a deposit of about £100 and see if they take it, because if they did come through with the car we would be quids in.

    Under their terms & conditions:-

    "20. FINANCE

Any Finance Agreement signed by the Customer will replace this Agreement. "

There's also mentions in more than one place of additional fees.

Their prices appear competitive but i would be vary wary of any broker that wants you to pay a deposit direct to them as it set up all kinds of 3rd party contracts that complicate things if it all goes wrong. The majority of brokers out there merely put you in touch with their supplying dealer and you place deposit with the dealer direct.
