Awww, poor hypno - hey, you're at home today, aren't you! Just realised that gives you a long weekend, happy to hear that.

I have £1.50 to report! The easiest £1.50 I ever made, from a yougov survey that was literally less than 5 mins long, I'm a bit shocked actually! My yougov account is now up to £23 - only another £27 to go till I can get hold of it! At that rate, it may *just* pay out before I die of old age! :rotfl:

Update: and another 50p you gov survey, that consisted of one question! It may take a long time, but they *are* good to have chuntering away in the background.

Asset - I've recently done the Betfair through Quidco thing too and just did a load of small bets on Tuesday night's football matches. I've got a small amount of knowledge about who's likely to win but if you're just using the money up then personally I'd go for the smaller odds (e.g. 1.4 type of number on there), meaning that the general consensus is that team is more likely to win - won't make you a huge amount of profit - I'm about 84p down out of my original tenner after winning a couple and losing a couple. Alternatively you could just stick it all randomly on something and cross your fingers!

Btw has yours tracked in Quidco yet? Mine hasn't shown up yet..

I've been looking around on the betting threads but its all too difficult! So I'm asking here - I've joined Betfair simply for the cashback. To get the cashback I need to use up £10 in bets and I haven't a clue! I know I would like to bet on premiership football just because its easy to find in the media to know who's won! Could anyone suggest some ideas for bets for this weekend's football? I honestly don't care much about winning, just need to use up the £10 - also I don't want to get into 'matched' bettting because that's too difficult as well! I just want to make some simple bets to use up the money, and if I win anything at all its a bonus - so no-one would be held 'reponsible' if I lost - I expect to lose but just need a bit of guidance on which football teams are likely to win or lose!

I am quite up on my football so hopefully can give you some decent advice on which teams should win. I'm doing a Fantasy Football league against 13 blokes and winning! :D (chuffed)

    These are the weekends games:
    Saturday, 08 March 2008
Blackburn v Fulham, 15:00 Blackburn will probably win this one but I would not put money on it
Liverpool v Newcastle, 15:00 Liverpool - this is definately one I would put money on as Newcastle haven't won a game in ages and Liverpool had a great last game in the Premiership winning 4 - 0 against West Ham. The odds won't be very good though
Reading v Man City, 15:00 I would go with Man City win on this one

    Sunday, 09 March 2008
Sunderland v Everton, 15:00 Everton win most likely
Tottenham v West Ham, 15:00 Probably Tottenham win
Wigan v Arsenal, 16:00 Definately Arsenal win

    Hope that helps a little

Was thinking of trying the Betfair thing through Quidco myself so please can you let us know if it tracks ok. Thanks x

The site isn't that easy to use till you get used to it! I'll try and get you there but its all a bit hit and miss! And there's a few stages which I'm doing from memory so if I miss a bit you just need to wander around on the gala site till you find it.

Log into Gala and then find the 'Play Bingo' button. Then you should get a list of 'Clubs' like 'COUNTRY' and 'SEASIDE'. CLick on any one of these and that should get you to a new page. On the bottom left is a box for 'purchase tickets' and somewhere there is a tab for 'advanced purchase'. Go to that, then another tab for 'clubs' and you get a pulldown list of clubs. Choose one club, and then you'll see a pull down list of the games in that club for the next hour. All are priced and there should be around 2 an hour priced at zero. Then you just advance purchase 12 tickets (the max allowed) - there's a little area with black arrows and each time you click on the arrow it clocks up one ticket. Work thru the clubs - not all do free games - and then after all that you can look at 'reserved tickets' to see what you've got. I just leave it running then and check back for my balance to see if I've won anything. You don't have to deposit to start - but if you win you only have to deposit £5. You do have to go back to it every hour or so to advance purchase more tickets, but I just did it last week in odd moments - didn't sit with it all day.

This makes really boring reading but I hope it helps!

Its not the easiest way of winning, as I said I won £10 last week, but it is totally no risk, and the £10 was for a one line win - it could have been £60!

A couple of people have asked about Betfair tracking. Mine hasn't tracked yet either! I just looked on Quidco on the bit where it gives you statistics and it says, for Betfair:

    "Tracking Speed
    Statistics unavailable

    Tracking Reliability
    Statistics unavailable

    Payment Speed
    Statistics unavailable"

    Oh dear!!!
