Does anyone know if you can still get the 5 free HDDVDs these days too?
(NB: Just thought I'd add my opionion, which is that this is more or less a waste of money unless you're a technology museum...I suppose if you wanna get a couple of HDDVDs and watch on your big telly (and have a sound system good enough to drown out the noise of the 360) it might be worth writing off the cost, but a bit of a waste really)0 -
Well i have a lovefilm subscription 360 Elite and a 40" Samsung LCD TV, so ive changed all my rentals to HD movies!HUKD Sucks!

Even though HD-DVD seems to have lost the format war, the Xbox drive is an excellent piece of kit that does a really excellent job with standard definition DVDs. Probably much better than the DVD player most people have under the telly and a real bargain at this price.I remember when you could smoke on the bus0

Voucher code feboffer is still valid today and gets an extra 3 quid off. Quidco at 3% gives another pound.
It may be on the way out but 36 quid is cheap and there are loads of HD-DVDs at lovefilm.0 -

I have just checked and the promotion ran until 31.01.08 and all applications had to be in by 29.02.08

Do you have quite a modern Xbox?
Just wondering, as my year-old one's way too noisy to seriously think about using it as any kinda DVD player...0 -
Yeah its noisy when playing games right?
When its idle on the dashboard there quite, thats how it will be while playing a HD-DVD.HUKD Sucks!
