Free 2000 tesco points when you open an online account

I have just had this email from tesco saying open an account online and you get 2000 clubcard points worth £20 in store or £80 in deals!

you can open an account with as little as £1!

The amount of points is based on the balance on 31 May. To get the full 2000 points you need to have £50k in there! You can get 1500 points with a balance of £5k, which seems more reasonable. The balance needs to be cleared funds on 31 May, the interest rate is not great but the funds could be transferred in a couple days before and back out a couple days later.

Where did you pick this information up from? I could not find it on the page above.

Do you know whether people who took their Instant Access Savings Account for 1000 points will qualify for the Internet Saver?

Where did you pick up the T&Cs for the clubcard points? All I see on the Internet Saver application page is a graphic Collect up to 2000 clubcard points.

just under the 'apply now' button is an explanation of the offer:

The offer - collect up to 2,000 Clubcard Points

Open any Tesco Savings account between 7th February and 2nd April 2008 and receive up to 2,000 Clubcard Points.

Thank you for your reply. I see that, too. But where does it say the money has to be in the a/c on 31st May to qualify?
