in Credit cards
Through doing balance transfers I went over my credit card limit by £64, stupid I know but this was paid off before it ever actually appeared on a statement. I've been charged the £12 fee but what worries me is does this appear on my credit rating as considering my debt my rating is very good and i'm hoping this isn't going to ruin things for me?

Give the card company a ring and just explain you fell foul of the dates etc and ask for the charge to be waivered.
If they do great if they don't remember it for next time,if your credit rating is good and you ask they ususually wavier the charge especially if it is a automated collection or a banking date error.
Give it a go.Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0 -
I think you should probably be more concerned about any promotional interest rate you have being revoked as a result0

They won't waiver the fee but my interest free period is safe so will this reflect on my credit report as this is what really matters to me? Also halifax have now offered me a lifetime balance transfer if I go back but the balance on my new card is higher than my crdit limit on my halifax card do you think theyd up my limit to cover the balance transfer or should I tell my new company what I've been offered and see if they'll offer me a deal?0

Sometimes it will show on your credit report but not always. Wait a while and check your credit report to be sure.
TBH though you cant change it anyhowand if this is your one and only default i would say the damage shouldnt be too great0 -

If you've got a 0% deal at the moment then I'd let that run - you're not going to get better than no interestWhen you're nearing the end of the 0% period, speak to Halifax about the LOB deal they offered you or ask them to come up with a 0% period - and by then the balance you need to move will be lower too.

Going over limit does not show on your credit report as such, however (and this wouldnt apply in your case as you've paid it off), they do report the limit and the balance at periodic intervals0
