Hello all,
I will be 30 in March 2009 :T and would like to go away with the hubby for a week.
I am looking for ideas on where everyone else goes for a weeks holiday at this time of year? Asking now as I can keep an eye on the various weather conditions in different places.
If you have had a great time in the UK or abroad in March, please reply to this discussion and help us choose where I can celebrate the big three oh in style!
Thanks in advance!
Nicola

It might help people if you gave a bit more information about what sort of things you like to do and see while you are holiday?
Beach/cities/culture/sightseeing/nightlife? Would you prefer SC/BB/HB/AI, how far are you willing to travel and what is your maximum budget?
My starter for ten is Egypt. A week in Luxor or a week on a Nile cruise. Nice weather and about a five hour flight from the UK so not too far for a week.0 -
the gambia is also an option.
6 hour flight,no jet lag and a week in guaranteed sunshine (its 36 degrees at the mo according to the bbc) for about £300 each.
we went a couple of years back and although there isn't a huge amount of sightseeing etc to do there is enough to keep you occupied for a week (and to be honest there isn't much you want to do bar sit with a drink in hand in the sun)0 -

Thanks for replies so far.
I am after any ideas what so ever. Any budgets from a tiny b&b in the yorkshire dales to huge blow out holidays. I am just after great times that people have had around March time.
Markymoo - went to New York last year as part of our honeymoon - fantastic! Hearty recommend the 3 hour boat trip which goes all round Manhatten - you see so much more you wouldn't expect. Most tourists go on the hour trip which seem to miss most of it all out.0 -
How about a nice skiing holiday in the Alps (or further afield)?0
-
I'm off to Athens - no idea what it will be like....
Save me from spending...
Sealed Pot Challenge 2008 - £1004:T 2009 - £1139 2010 - £1260 :j 2011 - £1557 2012 - £740  No 195 Target £1k0 -

*grins*. i'm kinda resident on the New York threads on this board, because i've been on *counts* 9 trip to NYC already, and my 10th is in 5 days time. Boat trips ain't my thing now, as i've done most of the tourist attractions that I want to do...0 -
