Ahah you see this is not a red laser but a red LED therefore it's an optical mouse. At work I use a laser mouse and there is no visible light at all.

Also, A laser mouse will have a small label on it saying "Class 1 Laser Product" pretty much like a CD player will have, an optical mouse won't.

Does anyone know where I can get an opticlaser mouse from that's preferably got a red LED on the bottom - or maybe even one on the side will do?

Just gone and got my pound back from Tesco after buying one of these yesterday.

Didn't work on my pc at all (even though correct spec). Tried it on my Mac and while it did work, it got confused really easily when more than one window open. Guess you only get what you pay for - I'd save your pounds and put it towards a decent one.:rolleyes:

I paid £2 for one just a few weeks ago at Tesco & it's much better than any I have paid much more for in the past, I might have to go back & get another.
