Anyone got any ideas about how to even a stain on a wooden door (or the best way of removing)?
Plus how to remove splattered stain marks from painted walls and glossed door frames???
Once stained, it becomes very difficult to remove. You could try bleaching which should remove most of it, but be very careful about skin contact and ventilation and neutralise the bleach afterwards. Have a look here about bleaching: http://www.btinternet.com/~cornish.woodturners/frames/article12.htm
If the stain has been varnished over then you'll need to remove the varnish first.
Sounds like someone's left you with a bit of a mess to clear up!0 -
Soda crystals can be used to prepare wood for treatment as it strips off wax and lacquer. Perhaps give them a try on a small area to see what happens.0
