I have a goat & donkey!! My Mothers day!!
Options
This Mother's Day why not buy a gift from Oxfam unwrapped?
Last year, dis-illusioned by the whole Mothers Day fuss and the pressure put on the children to get something, I asked the children (Dad paying!!) to get me something useful. I don't need flowers and expensive gifts, so we looked at the Oxfam website and I chose a goat & donkey to go another family
I now have a nice magnet with a goat & another with a donkey on the fridge - it helps remind us that this world has gone mad sometimes.
We did the same for Fathers day.
This Easter the chidren have decided that we'll do an Easter egg hunt this year (with mini eggs) as we usually do but not buy bigger eggs but get another Oxfam gift.
Do we really need so much, the only people to profit from all this are the big retailers....
