fi27- how do you get away with not having a freezer?
Still searching .....:)

Searching-me I am begining to wonder that myself! LOL
Used to have a big fridge/freezer but only ever had an odd loaf of bread or frozen burger in the freezer bit. When we moved into our new house i got rid of the fridge/freezer for, i'm ashamed to say, cosmetic reasons! And because we didnt really use it. I got a shiny new under the counter fridge! It was the biggest fridge i could find though. That was in the days before OS and money saving!
I buy mainly fresh & chilled ingredients and shop weekly, the fridge is always stuffed full!
May look into the freezer idea again quite soon!May GC Budget £200 spent

I remember reading on here somewhere that you need to blanch them, or cook them before freezing; I'm sure someone will be along with more detailed advice shortly.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hubby is due to start his new job at the beginning of april and his pay day will change to 15th like mine - going to mess up a few DD so need to plan carefully. Anyway as id already gone overbudget i thought what the heck and bought a load of whoops items in my local somerfield - its fairly small and not a big turn over so always lots of yellow stickers about. 6pints of milk at 49p was just tooooo good to leave on the shelf so they are tucked in my freezer now - 24pints to be exact!! Should last 2 or 3 weeks i hope. Im going to start planning Aprils budget tonight and see how little i can buy. Wont be as cheap as yout last GC MRSM but im going to try my best to come in under budget as the overspend this month was all on bargains that i will use next month IUSWIM!!!"With no money you start to discover your own inner resource" GK Chesterton2 adults, 3 children0
