I once read that all ebayers are too frightened of a negative feedback

    Not for long!
Soon buyers will be able to leave negs with no risk of a neg back... and even if a seller isn't frightened, they'll be limited to leaving a positive.

    Fun times ahead.

Fay, I suppose that's one reason why I have decided to fight this. Normally I am a pusscat, I accept returns and refund on all occasions, I will do nearly anything to stop myself getting a neg. Yet suddenly knowing that in future a buyer can neg me just because they feel like it means I will never feel this secure again.

If I can't fight this now I never will. I am convinced this buyer is not requesting a refund for any legitimate reason, I prefer not to put all my proof on here, but even trying to give the benefit of the doubt I am convinced. If I am not brave enough to take this buyer on and leave a neg to warn other sellers I might as well give up and just let my buyers have what they want for nothing.

I am a bit disillusioned anyway and a neg really doesn't seem to be the end of the world at all anymore.

  • I think you should go for it Soo, don't be done down by a bad buyer if you have the energy to fight.

The proposed change to the feedback system is so ridiculous  that anyone with half a grey cell doesn't believe ebay knows what it is doing. I agree with you, at least in the moment you have the chance to let others know what this buyer is like.

You have loads of positive thought waves behind you!.....:T

Soolin if paypal find in her favour and tell her to return the item she can't as you already have it. They will ask her to provide a tracking number which of course she won't and they won't ask you if you ever received the item in my experience. I had someone whose favour they found in she provided a tracking number, but i never received the item. Paypal never asked me if i had received it (which i hadn't), but fortunatley the item didn't track so after a month they closed it. If you are prepared to take a retaliatory neg then her neg her first. You won't be lying as they won't ask ( I suppose on a philosophical angle that would be a lie by omission!) However as far as the tracking no. goes be aware of the empty envelope as in another post on this page!!
