Help !!! Insurance Claim Following Escape of Water

Hi
In mid-Jan I had problems with a leaking hot water cylinder which caused water damage to my lounge, dining room and in the hallway. The insurance company appointed a company who installed dehumidifiers in my home for one month to dry out the walls. It's now dry and as I've not heard anything from the insurance company, I thought I'd ring them today.
The person I spoke to seemed to know very little about what I should do, she was quite vague other than saying I should get two quotes for the decorating to be done. My living room and dining room are wallpapered currently so I asked what I should do about buying the wallpaper, to which she replied that "well, won't the painter and decorator choose the wallpaper for you" - I was flabbergasted.
I'm just after some advice from other MSErs re what to do - obviously I will get some quotes from painters and decorators but what about quotes from plumbers (to get the radiators removed so can be decorated behind and replaced afterwards), from electricians (for removing wall and ceiling lights to allow for decoration and then replace). Does it mean I have to get two quotes from three different trades, ie six quotes in all. It seems a bit excessive but I don't know what to do. Also no-one has specified (well not to me) about what work the insurance company will agree to pay to be done and I'm unsure where to get that information.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks
