Students get Office 2007 Ultimate for £39 .. "The Ultimate Steal"

    http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/124820/students-get-office-2007-ultimate-for-39.html

At this price it will have to be downladed ..Although I think you can pay extra for a disc ...You will need a student e-mail account
I have just enrolled at South Birmingham college ..This gives me a student e-mail adress ...Mention " The ultimate steal " to someone at your college ...they may be able to help .
It won't get any cheaper than this for genuine microsoft software .

Definately without a shadow of a doubt you want www.theultimatesteal.com if you don't have a .ac.uk email address, then go for www.rm.com/thebasement very competitive

Do you know anyone who works for the haelth service? They can order the disc on line from microsoft for around £20 for XP Office Pro.

if you go to www.microsoft.com and type employee purchase programme in the search facility it brings up all the organisations that microsoft has an agreement with for discounted software

Just wondering if anyone has equally good advice on where to find the cheapest available Microsoft Office for Small Business - I can bring the price down from the recommended £399 (ouch) but obviously want to make sure I find the best deal! (Business isn't actually up and running yet, but guess I'd better be legal when it does!)

Sorry if I've started my posting life by putting this in the wrong place - no doubt if I have someone will come along and shout at me (((sigh))).

I've looked at the freebie versions, but whether it's me, or whether it's because I have some complex stuff that I'm trying to transfer from normal Microsoft Office, but it's not working too well.

  • Does Microsoft office come with a disc? My mum has just had a new computer and paid for Office 2007 home and student. To cut a very long story short, the guy who she bought it from (has a computer shop) seems to be trying to fob her off because he gave her a key number and so has office working. In my mind she should have a disc, but he is now trying to tell her that they don't have a disc because of fraud reasons. He had previously said that it would be in on such and such a day or the other guy had it with him. They seem to be making excuses. She has e-mailled to say she will get it somewhere else and she wants her money back but no success. Any suggestions please??
