Very Odd American Express Situation Going on right now

I decided to check my account balance online and noticed all of a sudden I had a SET CREDIT LIMIT on my account and I was wondering why when there has been NO CREDIT LIMIT since 2006. I called and was told that they recieved some negative information from the credit bureau and that's why there was a SET LIMIT. They told me the only reason my account was cancelled was because I been a good cardholder for the last 2 years and never missed a payment. So I was told my account was under review again and to call back in 2 days and I will find out whether my Credit Limit was increased or was the set credit limit removed.

I'm so confused about all of this right now
