You need to read the terms & conditions for charges and if youve been granted a free balance transfer period.
Ive got a Lloyds Advance card with a years free bal transfer.
They are going to start charging a 2% fee for bal trans from Nov. So if its a free bal transfer card you need to get a move on !0 -
The Lloyds Advance card has 0% for a year on BTs made within 6 weeks of getting the card - and as far as I know these are (and will remain) fee free. After the 6 weeks is up the BT will be charged at 11.9%? and there will be a fee - but why would anyone do it anyway ???
If any of the above is wrong please tell me 'cos I'm just about to apply for 1!

Husband & I just got our Advance card through the post. 15k credit limit each for a year, there is a god! ;D
Done BT with no charge as was in first 6 weeks. Was also informed when I activated card that as my card was internet based it is 0% for purchases as well - I applied for it on the net and it is linked to our Lloyds current account.0 -
Not so lucky myself, my advance card has taken over 5 weeks, I had to send security documents to them even though I'd banked with them for over 7 years. They gave me a crap 3K limit, appalling conidering all my other cc's range from 6-10K (I had applied for a 9.5K BT) >:(Next year we'll be millionaires!0

Was I dreaming or did I read that Mr smartsaver had been turned down for an Advance card? What happened to 'adjust' their thinking?
