    I'm guessing the awkward credit card company is American: MBNA or CapOne or perhaps Amex. My account had six months of charges and interest added before the original DMP offer was accepted. UK based companies seem to be much more ammenable to offers, even the ones charging relatively low interest rates such as Morgan Stanley.

    MBNA - they won't default the card until another 3 or 4 payments missed. I only found this out as I called them because of 'computer generated letter' saying O/H wasn't talking to them/was avoiding them. We've been talking to everyone since April/May.
