Cheapest way to send parcel from UK to Ireland?

Anyone know the cheapest way to send a 5.8kg parcel from the UK (York) to Ireland (Dublin)?

I've been trying to figure out where the royal mail consider it to be from their site, and apparently it's in neither europe, world zone one or world zone two, but likely isn't in the UK either. So I have no idea what they'd charge to post there. Only that Parcel Force Ireland 24 is £21.50.

Thanks.

The Interparcel.com website is good for getting quotes online - you need the weight and dimensions of your parcel and you get a number of quotes from different carriers eg DHL, Citylink etc.

Pharos are good and fast for Ireland

    http://www.pharos-international.co.uk/

£16.84 for 6kg - had to guess dimensions - if it is very large they will charge volumetric 'weight' and it may cost a bit more.
  • Try www.interparcel.com as Sham63 stated. Alot of places wanted to charge me £70.00 for a parcel I was sending but by using InterParcel, it only cost me just under £30.00 via CityLink Next Day.
