    well will manage to get it i think.I could sell the car and then pay them off then get another car

    You may not be legally able to sell the car. If you are not and you do sell you could be in serious trouble.
    Check your agreement very carefully.

    I think they are probably trying it on. If you are making a reasonable offer and they keep saying 'no' then a court (if it went that far) would grant the CCJ based on your offer. You need to be doing everything in writing rather than on the phone though.

    It would fail an HPI check showing outstanding finance, assuming the buyer does one anyway.
