Had a cre loan with ge money i owe £368 on it and they have sold it to link financial and they are saying they want all the money by 29th feb or they will reposess the car.Is their anything i can do?

I feel sory for Link (lol) They thought they had purchased a loan off GE and that my car was calaterol. and they threatened to reposess untill I told them that the loan had been paid off when I had a £1000 extension to the loan making the car 100% mine. Now they are stuck with me paying £41 per month and it will take another 22 years to clear.

Wait until they get the letter on friday because I'm going to try and claim the charges back! and i'm asking for the cca!! Not expecting much but i'll make them work for it and try and cost them money instead of them making me.

Sorry i do not understand how will it take 22 years to clear £1000. Had you finished paying for the car? should i ask for the ccca and what is it? I am going to claim charges back from ge.

Have they said it might be possible to pay in installments? Could you get this money by then?

You need to ask them if you can pay in installments if you accept that you owe the money.

Hi Hopless

GE sent me a letter which said that i could take a further advance. When I rang they said that i could redo the whole loan at a cheaper rate obviously paying off the original 12k + 1k -12k = 1k to me. This took the car out of the equation which really upset Link
