DCA ignoring my CCA request...where now?

Hi all,
I'm sure people are getting fed up of answering CCA questions, but having searched for a while, I just can't find the answer I'm looking for!
To summarise:
(For info: All of my letters have been sent recorded and I have kept proof of delivery)
I have not received any more chasing letters from them since the 4th Jan request, but they HAVE entered defaults against me on my credit report for the months of Jan and Feb, which would suggest it hasn’t been sold on.
So my dilemma now is that they are simply ignoring me and I’m confused as to why?
How do I get them to respond to my letters? They don't seem concerned about my threats of reporting them.
Is there any chance they could have sold my debt on? Would I know about this by now?
Has anyone been successful yet at having their defaults removed as a result of not receiving their CCA?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

To summarise:
- Lowell held an alleged debt against me (£585).
- I requested CCA 4th Jan 08, they cashed the £1 cheque clearly marked as payment for CCA. And I've never heard anything since!
- I sent them a second letter dated 17th February using template, which asked for compensation and informed them the debt was no longer enforceable. I've still not heard anything from them.
- It is now 54 calendar days since I requested it originally.
