Thank you all for all this advice and reading all the support. I am new to site joined May 09. Today I have sat and done all paperwork for my DMP with CCCS. Fell better now I have done this and will post it all on Tuesday. Have managed to open bank account with Halifax Easycash was worried would not be able to but did it online no problem. In 3.5 years should have all my debts paid up and feel now have taken some control its a start. I aim to change the way I live and go back to basics. I used to budget well when children were small and I had a lot less income. Combination of illness, stress and change of circumstances has had a devestating effect on my life and finances. So easy to get behind with one payment then cant catch up.
Have felt so alone and ashamed and worried, reading other peoples messages has given me hope and I now dont feel so alone. I know I can get there and will use the boards and all the tools available to help me on what will be adifficult few years, but in some ways easier as there is a way forward and a light at end of what seemed a very long road. Thank you0 -

HI,
Best thing is to get started with your Statement of Affairs or SOA as it is called here. There are templated in National Debtline website. That site is full of good information and their phone number is free. Then you can come here and start a new thread where you can then post your SOA and soon you will be getting lots of good advice. Good luck.

I don't see how any of this is possible... according to SkyMoney, we spend at least £31 a day (article here: http://money.sky.com/mp/features/news/2009/06/17/Running-a-home-costs-31-a-day.html), just running our homes! How can we save longer term?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
