Credit Card for poor credit rating customers...

I ideally need a new credit card to get the interest I am paying on my current card down to a minimum..

Only problem is my credit rating is extremely poor I'm guessing due to a number of refusals.. yes I know, applying for more credit won't help.

Do you think as an alternative if I contacted Barclaycard and asked for the whole balance to be transferred to a lower interest rate, it is currently variable on differnt balance transfers/purchases etc they would look into doing it?

Contacting Barclaycard would be an ideal first step. As your rating is so bad, it's unlikely you'd be able to get a nice 0% card.

Out of interest, which bank are you with? If they have a 0% card going, and your account has been run well, they might consider you more highly... unless, of course, it's Barclays, in which case we're back to square one

Barclaycard crystalised all my debt with them at 6.9% (apart from a £100 cash advance). Get through to the loyalty dept, rather than first line support

Oh thats interesting to know! How did you manage to get them to do that for you?

Shelfstacker.. I currently have a refinance loan with lloyds my bank so they wouldn't help me unfortunately.
