Technophobe seeks new laptop! £300-£400

Hi,
As a confirmed technophobe, I am hoping that someone can help advise me on buying a new Laptop. I have just ordered AOL Broadband with router for my home, and need a laptop mostly for hours of surfing, but admittedly mostly on Betfair and Oddschecker. I want to spend about £300-£400 on the laptop, and am hoping for a decent reliable machine. I have tried to follow various postings on here but am still unsure and am hoping for recommendations. There are so many laptops in my price range on Ebuyer that I don't know where to start!

PC world are selling eSystem 4315 laptop ( I think it's their own brand) for £299.99. My husband bought one ( older model) about 15 months ago and he says it is 'a flying machine' far better than a Toshiba he has that went faulty after 9 months and which Toshiba still can't fix. PC World overstocked their stores before Christmas with laptops hoping they would be a big seller for christmas and they weren't so they have goods deals on at the moment. If you local store doen't have any left order one online, delivery is free.. good LuckIn giving
