This morning i received 2 duplicate letters saying that a namesake in Africa had died without relatives and that the "Director of the Bank" was charged with finding his relatives..to claim the dosh................. Yawn.

However, what tickled me was the phrase in the letter, " Indecently, I found you having the same last name with him;"

He obviously tracked me down through my credit card appearing on those sites that my wife knows nothing about.............. :rotfl:

there are legit companies that find relatives who have inherited money many years ago but a legit company always direct you to an independent solicitor before making contact personally

You'll never guess, but one of my relatives (that I never knew anything about before) also apparently died a couple weeks ago. I can't remember anything specific about it, just that it was so full of spelling mistakes and grammar errors that we all had a good laugh before it went in the bin!

Being "indecent" with a deceased relative, isnt that two crimes in one?:D

Reminds me of my time working for the local Council-- quite often people would call in to cancel the council tax for a relative who had died. It was two years before someone pointed out that I had been requesting cancellation due to the person being diseased:embarasse
