Powergen IGT charge ????

Scottish Power charge 10.96p per day for IGTs (am currently moving away from them because they've p1ssed me off about direct debits, but that's another story...).
When I moved to them approx 2 years ago, ended up choosing their service because they were the cheapest at the time who would actually provide service to an IGT. At least 4 providers were cheaper, but refused service. Good to hear that a more pragmatic approach is now prevailing.....I'd rather have to pay a supplement than be refused service outright.
It would be useful if the comparison sites had a check box for IGT....assume they're not smart enough to work it out off the MPR number.
Incidentally, the irony is my IGT is British Gas....unfortunately not the bit that went to Transco!I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
that would be british gas connections then, an enterirely different entity

I too am an IGT slave!? I was wondering will we have to pay this absurd charge forever or does it end after a certain period?0

According to Ofgem, any time between now and 2020, depending on who your IGT is.

This is a good explanation of the issues -
