Stamp Duty

I've come across an expensive book that will (allegedly) enable you to reduce or cancel stamp duty. I'd rather not spend my money on the book unless anyone can recommend it ("How to Avoid Stamp Duty" by Russell Eaton). Better yet, does anyone have any tips they can pass on?

Thanks!

Apart from the little gem above?

If a property is for sale at just over a threshold, offer under the threshold or...
many vendors will agree to pay stamp duty for you or split it with you. It's likely that their estate agent may have discussed this scenario with them already.

A small amount over the threshold could be allowed for itemised fixtures & fittings, these must be priced sensibly though!

I've asked this question before about the book.

HAS ANYBODY OUT THERE HAD THIS BOOK THAT CAN COMMENT ON IT ?

    SOMEBODY ?

Do a search for it on https://www.amazon.co.uk, and look at the reader reviews. There is only one review but it is NOT complimentary. As someone about to lay out enough stamp duty to buy a nice new BMW :-( I would still not be tempted to waste money on the book.
