University Saving Account -No Tax

Options
Hi

Im trying to find the best saving account available for me when im start Uni this year.
Basically im trying to find one with the highest interest rate which does not have a maximum limit i can put in each year.

Also can i apply for no tax to be taken out as i will be in full education.

My aim is to borrow as much from many different banks @ interest free if possible and put it all in this one account where i can make interest. Then later i can pay off the borrowed money leaving me with the interest i can make use of for fee's etc.

I found this one from ING can someone tell me if this is the 'right' one im after?

Thx

Read some of the articles under Banking / Saving (tab directly above you) on the main site first. And this, in particular, if you want an 'instant access' account :-

.... the ING one you've quoted is poor in interest terms.

Yes - you file an R85 to get the interest paid gross. But being a student etc is not the criteria - it depends on your income across the full tax year. If that (any earnings + gross interest) is less than £5435 (08-09) then you can file the R85 (student grants are not part of your income)
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
  • ok ill look at them and thx for the info!

Many student current accounts require you to pay student loan in them.
