Right, am calm again! Have been to Tesco and bought a Dirt Devil cylinder cleaner for £19.99. It's brilliant, compared to the 10 x more expensive bagless job I had before anyway. Was having a bit of a rant earlier, mostly because the information most pertinent to me was hidden in the tiny small print...was annoyed at that more than anything, and feel that I was ripped off in my purchase of it. >:(
I'll keep going with my cheapo vacuum, and will refer to the advice here once it claps out as it surely will. Having these reviews to look at is great as they are true - I am sorry that I didn't know about this site when I first went vacuum cleaner shopping.
New moral of the tale....read the instruction manual all the way through before using your new vacuum cleaner!
