Growing Palm Trees?

I bought a packet of date palm seeds and sowed them in November in a plastic bag sealed and put them in my hotpress. In late December one had developed a root so I removed it and planted it. It quickly grew a shoot about 2" long but hasn't done alot else since, and the others haven't done anything.
Have you any advice on growing these things?

There are a few older threads, not sure if there's any specific advice on growing, but you can have a look to see:

When the weather warms up, put it in a largeish pot with free draining soil in the sun and feed with a high nitrogen fertilizer weekly. Depending on the genus it could easily grow a foot or so in a decent warm season.0
