Double sided radiator - front not working

Tried posting this is another thread but got no response and thought I'd move it. My central heating is okish but my problem is that upstairs I have 2 double radiators - one of them works perfectly but the other one doesn't - the back of the radiator works perfectly but the front one is cold - I tried bleeding it but as soon as I turned the key the water came out so I had to close it again so the radiator at the front is still cold. Any suggestions anyone? I would be really grateful because it has been like this for ages and the room is cold all the time. I do not have a combi boiler - oil fired central heating. Be really grateful for any advice

If it's double sided, it will have two bleed points, usually opposite sides of the radiator. Silly question but did the water come out of the side that gets hot or the cold side? Make sure you've bled both.

double radiators sometimes have 2 bleed screws in them, one for the back panel and one for the front.

could be that the rad itself is blocked, easy to sort.

turn off both valves, loosen connections to the rad, lift rad a little then let it lay down, fully disconnect the valves and carry rad upside down outside and wash through with a hose, re fit and it should be ok

Hi - thanks for responding. I knew there were two bleed screws, and the one at the back worked fine and the air came out when I turned the key and the panel warmed up but the water poured out of the front one when I turned the key. I really appreciate randomsam08 your instructions on how to clear the problem. The next time I have a big strong person come into the house I will ask for help.
