I have done private tutition before quite successfully (got one student up from anticipated D grade to gain a B in her exam), I think I will look into this one and hopefully get something going again.

Hiya, sounds like similar circumstances to me try for child tax credit too, -low income under£14,000.
Will they consider your overall income for the year though? My income April to September will be around £10.5k then .... nothing, so may be successful in that one. Hooray!
