Hi all does the introductory offer of 1% more apply for the 12 months from the date your account was opened or the 12 months that they opened the offer?

When checking this, Barclays have given two different answers, one was that it’s to the anniversary of to when the interest was backdated, the other is it’s to the anniversary of when the account was opened. The second time I checked, I was told it’s more likely to be the latter version because, they said, it would be difficult to work to any other date than the one entered on computer (ie the opening date).

Whilst i believe its the latter, i chucked a note in the post to Barclays last Wednesday asking them to answer the specific question in writing. :cool:
