He's (selectively) deaf, arthritic, and has had Degenerative Brain Disorder (canine version of Alzheimers) for couple of years but he enjoys his food, enjoys a short walk and likes to stand in the yard and bark for no reason, so you can say there's still life in the old dog yet.

He's a bit grumpy about being touched round the back end though ( aren't we all?) - probably due to arthritis and he can't cope with youngsters (human or canine) bouncing round him, and he starts to show his teeth to let them know they're going too far; sadly, he doesn't realise he hasn't got many teeth left these days!

Just to pacify Tiff about all this waggy talk, when I've sussed how to, I'll post a pic of him curled up with the puss in front of the fire.

But to justify the waggy talk, I probably wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him - it's the longest relationship I've ever had and he's seen me at my worst and still stuck by me.

mountains of work - gawd, i dont envy you on that score hun. do a little bit just to get started, sometimes that works for me..

Aww, he sounds lovely. Tiffy hun cover your ears! Unfortunately I live in a tiny flat and I work long hours, so not really conducive to having pets at the mo... but one day, hopefully...

hi sf how are you today?
i was a bit upset having to miss my appointment, as i haven't been for three weeks now, but these things happen.
son is fast asleep in bed still, shame to wake him, but want him to sleep tonight too, so might get him up soom, see if he any better

sorry to hear your feeling fed up, is there a reason why, or are you having one of them days?
the receptionist said they will post me another replacement, feeling up sat in house bored while son sleeps, woke him for lunch, but he only had a bite and went back to bed, never known him refuse food before

what about the earthquake last nite:eek: .me and dh were in bed and the whole room started shaking:eek: the weirdiest feeling i have ever had.all the neighbours were out on the road in night attire:D and lots of chimney pots had moved.
at least when dh asked if the earth moved for me,this time i wasnt lying:rotfl: :rotfl:
was thinking after, just shows you.we think we are masters of our world and nothing can hurt us....then ma nature reminds us every so often how small and insignificant we are, in the grand scheme of things.i find it scarey and fascinating all at the same time
you just never know......

btw, my mum and dhs nan and our son slept through it all......and guess who else missed it?????
yes, CHARLIE DANE!!!!...i thought dogs were suppose to sense these things before they happened....dont know about charlie, i should have called him rodney......
