Hi everyone

Haven't been in for a few days as have been up down and waylaid by the Virgin big snap competition but have had £650 worth of wins so it has been worth it..it is mind numbing tho :rolleyes:

Just got back from the Doc and was hoping she would let me go back to work on Monday, but Alas she said no. Wanted me to have another 4 weeks on the sick :eek:

We compromised on another 2 weeks and a revisit then to re-assess. I thought I was getting better but she is concerned it might be too much (although I feel whacked after only going the shops) and wants me to see if I can have a phased return. Has anyone had anything similar?

survey man came, drilled some test holes, said it had already been done.either that or it was rubble in the cavities.gap should be 50mm but ours is 40 mm but not to worry as old houses are usually like this and tend to be built more solidly than the new ones.....well we all knew that, didnt we??
all that hassle and missing apps and staying in for nowt.its hard to tell on ours as we have the thick render on so you cant see the drill holes.shouldnt complain, i suppose.
all is well in the dane household.just got ds options evening to come at 5pm til 6pm then dh will pick us up on way from work.
oh what an exciting life i do lead

Well, it sounds like your text argument has made him sulk even more. If you think he's not making that much effort, you have decisions to make. I don't know how you think this relationship will pan out, but if you love him and forsee a long future, then you need to talk about it. If it's make or break, you may just have to lay it all on the line, as you are clearly not happy.

It sounds to me like he wants his space and to do things with other people as well, which is fair enough as long as it's within reason. All you need to do is question if he is taking your relationship seriously and if calling him names and shouting at him does more harm than good? Maybe sometimes you just have to let him do what he wants and take a step back and make him think as to why you haven't text him. I don't mean play any games, but do something different to make him think and see how he responds.

I hope it works out, but start doing things for yourself that you would normally do with him and see how he responds when he hasn't been asked to help out.

No, not you. I wouldn't say it upset me, but I could see how it would upset someone in the situation they were talking about. I won't be responding to their comments, as i'm guessing they wanted a response.

I've not seen your puppy statements, but there is a difference between abuse and standing up for your beliefs and hopefully the powers that be will know the difference.
