    Hi everyone

Glad to see Tiffs is back - hope she gets on ok at the hospital today -nothing too serious I hope? Everytime I see the ad on TV for teletext with the cats, I think of Tiffs:rotfl:

CC sorry to hear about your OH, I know what its like to lose the tip of a finger - I sliced the tip off my little finger with one of those dreadful vegetable peelers (the one that looks like a razor that all the chefs use). Hope he gets better soon and that your move goes well.

I think I did myself a mischief yesterday afternoon, I decided to clear our my front room because I had a piece of carpet to put down but as I was clearing out assorted bags, suitcases and boxes I picked up a particularly heavy box and felt something pull in my eye:eek: I carried said box as far as my bedroom and dumped it on the floor and now I just kick it with my foot to move it out of the way. I tidied the room up a bit but although it looks tidier its still untidy if you know what I mean plus the carpet remains rolled up. I spent the rest of the day lazing on the sofa doing nowt.

I got up this morning and logged onto my computer to see some by-election results because my chap had been put forward to be a councillor, I had to text him on his hols with the results. I also had a chat with my old friend, she works as a mobile beautician and it has been an age since we caught up - she told me that she is pregnant and is due in 6 weeks (her fourth child) She has agreed to come round next week to give me a facial that will cost me £25 and an underarm wax (sorry chaps but my pits look like a German wrestler - all hairy) My chap phoned me from his hols to discuss the by-election results and to see how my eyes are - although I try and be positive it is hard because I am getting bored with the whole business now. Just looked at a letter from the hospital and I have to go for a pre-op assessment on Friday at 9.30am which is a right pain because it means that I have to get up really early and get two buses plus they say I could be hanging around for 4hrs. Well, life is too short so I may just cancel it - can't see that I need it as I had a general anaesthetic on 3 March and I was OK then.

Am looking forward to my facial next week as I haven't had one for getting on for two years and my face feels like a lumpy old turnip.

Today, I have done some clothes washing, mooched on the Net, watched a bit of telly and nowt else, not even been downstairs to see if I have any post. I probably wont go out now until my chap comes back from his hols - he flies back tomorrow straight into London (hopefully not Thiefrow who managed to lose his bags) and then he will most likely come and see me on Sunday. I have to look at his photo to remind myself what he looks like because I haven't seen him since Valentines Day:(

    Hugs to all.
    Horace xx

    Happy Easter Everyone.

    :hello: Everyone,

I have had a lovely day :) Mum and Dad came,I sorted out washing and put it up to dry, then had dinner and a hot cross bun which was lovely :)

I went out to Asda to do a food shop and it was ok :) whilst waiting for bus to arrive a lad had kicked a football too high and it landed on my head *ouch* a girl told them to apologise to me and they did and I went apology accepted then finally the bus came and I sat down,I soon got home with my shopping, scanned it all on my clicker and then I ate two Jammy Dodgers and these were jam with custard in as they are new,I got them as we mentioned about these biscuits the other day in this thread and my mouth just watered at them :) those biscuits are really lovely too :) I treated myself to a dvd of Happy Feet from Asda at £3.00

tonight I am watching The Passion at 9pm on BBC1 :)

    *hugs* to everyone

I have not posted on here for a couple of weeks as I am trying to stay off the computer except for an hour a night! I Feel very sad and upset by two experiences while out shopping today.
I was returning a pale pink jacket bought in one TKmaxx to another one nearer to me and the SA refused to take it back! It had 2 different tags on it and I had my receipt. It was reduced to £15. It has a dirty mark on the back of it which was on it when I bought it(from being on the floor in the shop I expect) and I think she was implying I had worn it. How you can wear something with big tags on the outside(which are a kind you could NOT remove and reattach) I cant work out. I will need to take it to the store I bought it from. I asked her to write on the receipt re her refusal to take it back as my 14 days to return it are up tomorrow. I am so angry i want to write to their HO. I spend hundreds of pounds a year in TK(or did!!!!).
Second upset- Took some Swarovski earrings to Debenhams to get them sent back as stones are falling out(again). These earrings have spent more time at Swarovski than in my home. This is the 4th time they have had to go back. It takes at least 6-8 weeks for them to come back again. My daughter has other Swarovski jewellery and earrings but only these ones give problems. We only got these back before christmas. The Girl told me that the stones are falling out as "dirt" is getting behind the stones and pushing them out and we are "not taking enough care of them"!!!!!
She then changed her tune and said the "dirt" was perfume! My daughter has a lot of designer jewellery and takes great care of it. There is just something about the design of these earrings, they are like small half balls with stones set in. I was very annoyed at the insinuations and attitude. I wasnt even complaining about the fact they were going to have to go back again, I only mentioned it in a jokey way. Are earrings not meant to be worn?
Am I giving off bad vibes today? I think it might be because I am casual with no make up on, I always think it is appearance related when I am being treated badly. Cant say why that is. My daughter says I am paranoid. Did I cause these two situations?

    Sorry about the rant!

    Thank you guys

He is home with the tip sewn on - it may or may not take - he's not as young as he once was. So leaving nature, painkillers and antibiotics to sort it.

He is taking it easy for a day or two, then mentally packing and using his OK hand and my assistance to pack.

Thank heavens we have an extra week.

I am sorry to hear about the a/hole SA's. I don't think it is you but sometimes you need to up the firmness with these upstarts.

My OH is a dog with a bone when dealing with them and tenacious to the point of pain. I am the same. If you have shoddy goods and you do the right thing about returning then get the manager involved - SA's lack power and like to be superior to customers.

Big hugs and you are a great person!
