Ah, Ok fair enough. I assumed it was. He's got an entourage now, has he? Ah well.

I'm off to cut myself while listening to Joy Division. :rotfl:*

:rotfl:I send you lots of hugs. :) ********hugs********

    * note, If Joy Division shows up in my last.fm list, I'm not cutting myself actually. In fact, I'm going to listen to Therapy? because their cover of Isolation is better than the original.
I love Joy Division and Therapy?. :D Love Type O Negative too. :D

    :hello: Everyone,

I came back because I am still online but please dont take anything to heart what someone says,I for one would hate to see this thread closed down for good as that would upset me greatly as I wouldnt know where to turn to for support when I need them,Just rise above the poster and dont respond that way things can get back to normal again I am sure,it may take a while but I want to see things die down and get this thread what it is supposed to be, a supportive one not someone who is negative and is set out to upset us,I know they havent been nice to us but please dont get too upset,we dont know them in real life like we all dont know one another in real life as its just words on a screen :)

said my two pence worth tonight I think and everyone I know this thread can and will get back to normal,we shall not be moved!!!! and also what will Tiffy think when she returns too :) I so miss her cat pics :)

come on Tiff we need you here :)

yes,it has to be done, just dont respond to what they post, thats what they like, they want a reaction and we are giving it to them just like a piece of cake :) I got told by my parents if you dont read anything nice on the internet dont respond to it,so I dont,I only respond to nice posts,I am more sensible now than I was a few years ago when I first had the internet as I used it wrong but now I have learnt my lesson and I can use it sensibly and my parents trust me :)

Why are you all getting so worked up about it?

If you know you're not attention seeking then why does it matter what someone else on an internet forum who doesn't know anything about you says?

You don't seem to take it to heart quite so much when someone on this thread says nice things!

Juno hun x It's not so much that I care what people think of me personally (I couldn't give a stuff, lol) - it's what those remarks say about a lack of understanding and compassion for mental health issues, which makes this feel like living the Dark Ages rather than the 21st century... that's what i find rather sad. But there we are I guess.

And the wonderful people on this thread I have known and loved as real people for several years, so if they say nice things I am rather more inclined to believe them :)

Anyway, I really am going now!:D

Love and kisses to you all,

Sorry to hear about your situation Rose.

Its ok, im starting to get my head round the idea, she is the one with the problem

The trouble is those sort of bosses smell the fear and your workmate is right. I used to be like that and every bully got to me, but one day, I stood up to them and they stopped. Even tho they are your boss, they don't have the right to be a/holes. Take a blooming sicky, if you have given sufficient notice and made sure you have cover.

Yeah she kept havin a go and going on. but then i turned, and ya DO NOT wanna see me turn lol. horns go up and the steam starts to go :rotfl:. I told her, listen whats the point in havin a go at me, its not getting you anywhere, whats done is done, and thats it, all we can do is do it differently next time...hmph lol

My OH has just quit his job - the female boss has been a mild version of your boss. She is driving the company into the ground and lost some vital contracts, so money is short. They have been OK to him now he is leaving and might be getting some work from home to do. I don't think they can afford his full time rates but she has a dreadful manner and has driven away loads of people.

sorry to hear about your OH, is there anything that can be done? i hope he finds a job real soon

I have worked with bad bosses too and they should be sacked, not the people they inflict their poisonous venom on. It does make you wonder how many sick days are due to people getting away from bad bosses. I know most of my sick days were to get away from bad morale rather than major illness or colds. Workplace bullying, which this effectively is, should be made more of an issue than it is - it must cost industry millions.

At least your brother is giving you support and your friend sounds quite perceptive.

And here is a big hug from me too!

thanks hun, yes my brother is real special...plus he lets me play on his ds :D:D

    hope your ok

    Hi Rose

    I'm not too bad

Not looking forward to having our son live with us with all the boxes everywhere - feels very cramped. He will be going away for Easter so should help. I will have a lovely cat to pet tho:)

how long is ya son there for? least you be glad to not see him for a wee while

Back to you, she is a manager, she has a boss doesn't she or do u have an HR dept. Can you talk to them?

We do have a HR department, as i think its them i had to tell bout my mental ealth, so they no im not too well. so i should find out the number from my assistant manager. Im just not soo good at assertiveness :o

I took the bullying like you did. I worked in an office that was all women and they were not supportive to each other. They moaned but did nothing. The boss was sometimes really nice then sometimes unreasonable our of nowhere - she was in her 50s and seemed much older than her years.

    horrible bosses need a good....

    7.gif

When you are not well, everything is magnified. I was ill with my women's problems and felt no-one, not even other women, was supportive. Men wouldn't understand. This was 25 years ago and people didn't talk openly like they do today. Had these forums been around then, I would have coped much better.

Sorry things were tough for you, hope you know now tho that there is a place such as here where ya can talk ;)
    .

    hope your ok tonight

    much love

If you like Type O you'll probably like Before The Rain.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

Its fair enough though, this is a support thread, but we're all getting angry and upset which sort of defeats the object. I wish I could just report all the posts that I feel are discriminating, but the button doesn't work for me :(

I'm off again aren't I? :o Sorry, I'm going to drop it now

    Xx

I know hun, but such people get fuelled on such respones, best way is to try and ignore them...i cant even find the ignore button :rotfl:

ya can pm me if ya need hun, or msn ??

you are worth carring about ;)

your right hun, way back when mental health was a kinda taboo subject. I have done a awful lot of research on mental health, with doing a few projects on the issues within it and working with people hat suffer with it. And its clear its not something people talk about. its just a shame that it still seems to be that way. if anything it needs to understood more, and accepted as a illness

    Right get to bed sazzie

    sweet dreams

I'll add you on msn ;) I'm not going to talk about it anymore though, its a waste of time and thoughts! Hope you're ok at the moment and your boss is being less evil :)
