Ebay vs NCT Nearly New Sales??

Hi I have got lots of maternity clothes and baby clothes and items that I want to get rid off (definitely stopping at 2 of the little blighters!!) and was wondering whether it would be best to sell stuff on ebay or NCT sales. Has anyone used both, which is easier and/or gets the most money?

Thanks for your advice

It has been a good few years since I used an NCT nearly new sale but I used to do very well there. I know they take quite a large percentage of sale price (or at least they used to) but it was well worth going.

I think if I were you I would try the NCT first and then list everything left on ebay afterwards.

National Childbirth Trust. The various areas tend to run a couple of Nearly new sales every year and take a percentage (it used to be 25% at my branch) of the proceeds and pay over to the seller the rest.

    Hi,
Just my twopenneth, but I would probably eBay first - I would sell the maternity clothes separately, and the baby clothes in age bundles (0-3, 3-6mths etc) with clear pictures and clear item descriptions

It reaches a much wider audience (including bored parents at odd times of the day and night impulse buying!), and eBay take less of a cut.

Personally we looked at NCT but then went with eBay. We found that:

    1. High percentage taken from sales price
    2. our local group specified you had to be available something silly like 9.00am to 5.00pm to setup and pack away (and pay over the high percentage!!)
    3. They had a very long list of items that could not be sold, whereas my view being that as long as the items are described accurately what business is it of the NCT?
