Argos returns policy for a PSP

The person/company i baught from had a very high rating +10000, but it was obviously fake, it is well documanted in the internet and even on the ebay website. they will work but only for a while. just dont take the chance and buy from ebuyer etc...
I can only repeat my above comments. I have had these memory sticks for a very long time and no problem, and will still purchase in the same way. I do though, buy the more standard type of memory such as SD from ebuyer sometimes if they are doing aparticularly good deal.0 -

They will give you the Sony number and Sony will repair/replace it. You won't get a on the spot replacement.
They may suggest this, but they can't force you to do it, just tell them you want Argos to sort it out as you bought it from them and that is who your contract is with. They will more than likely replace it than have to go through the hassle of sorting out the repair themselves.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0 -
Argos won't replace it and Sony will not deal with them. The customer has to go through Sony. That is the ONLY way round it.0

Legally Argos are required to sort it out. Sales of Goods act isnt a "ohh were Argos we don't do fixing faulty goods" it is UK law and all sops selling goods sell under the sales of goods act.
As for the memory card data disapearing I would check out the memory card for it being genuine. Is it a sony card or sandisk? sony fakes are sold all over ebay and a few other companies. disapearing data is a common fault with fake cards, they are usually a low capacity formated higher and when you reach the physical limit of the card data is corupted. There is a great guide to fake cards on ebay here.0 -

It's not Argos saying that... Sony will just NOT deal with Argos, they tell us to ask the customer to contact them directly.0 -
It's a genuine sandisk card and I've had a few now. I got it from Morrisons and they have replaced it several times now as the PSP corrupts them.0

Then it's Argos' problem, the relationship between Sony and Argos, as a consumer, is none of my concern. Argos are legally obliged to repair, replace or refund the item, Sony doesn't even enter the equation.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0
