Had A Call

Had a visit from Credit Security Limited. Woman came to the house but I was out. It's over a 6k debt I have with Direct Line. She left a note that tells me its a free collection service. It says I need to settle or arrange payments. This has been through court in Beds so I know I have to pay them. My real problem is that it went to court because they wouldn't accept the payments I offered on my DMP. Is it now a case of them taking what they can sell. Any advice would be appreciated.

What did it say on the card? Was it a Court bailiff of just some DCA bully boy collector?

So did the court actually set a payment amount? And are you paying it? If it is too much you can ask the court for a redetermination of the amount. I am not sure of the legal ins and outs of this though.
I googled the name and got two addresses one in Whitchurch bucks and one in Aylesbury. The website is VERY low tech. So I would thing they are Debt collectors not bailiffs.
Perhaps it would be an idea to contact the court to see what is happening.

Until you answer Chev and keren's questions, it really is not possible to help you.
Other than to say that it would be unwise to ring anyone except on of the debt charities. If you deal with DCAs, you need to write to them.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Googled them and they are a security company so I don't see them as court baillifs.0 -
