Reply from the lovely and helpful Lynn at PB towers re the price increase for vouchers.

    "Hi Piggy,

Thank you very much for your email and for your feedback.

I can confirm you are not the first to complain with regards to the PiggyPoint increases and we have been monitoring this and forward these emails onto the relevant people!

If you could let me explain

    [bla bla bla]

    Kind Regards,

    Lynn"
Well, you can tell that's been composed by someone higher up the (loo) chain!

OK, the bosses decided that PB needs to make more money (or lose less). There are many ways to do that: move out of London, charge more for ads on the site, reduce outgoings on postage/stationery/coffee/boss's perks/entertaining/marketing/miscellaneous, reduce staff expenses, reduce staff wages, cut down on staff, replace lightbulbs, reduce heating ... You know them all as well as I do.

Have they done all that? Have they pared their expenditure to the bone? Have they charged their advertisers as much as the market will bear? If so, well, they must be quite wobbly to re-introduce the extra £1.50 charge. If not, then I would have thought it bad practice to put the costs onto the members.

Another alternative (perish the thought) is that someone's getting greedy.

Now Bronzie wrote on the 6th that s/he was having an interview at PB this week. Wonder how it went ... Wonder if it looked like they might be shutting down ... Doubt it. You don't normally recruit if you've no money for wages. So draw your own conclusions.

And I hope things went well for Bronzie.

Anyone else noticed nijobs question has changed to a 1000 points daily quiz, and yet no new question so far this week and everone who answered question still got the 10 piggy points, piggy seems very confused.

Please nobody email them re this otherwise we will have same situation as when they caught on about still paying out for crossword, until people badgered them and it was changed.

My Dogs Trust points are due to be credited by Monday together with my Strawberrynet points...... I sense I am going to have to fight to get them too. :(

  • My dogs trust (ten year old son's stocking filler - he loves dogs and we give them £14 every 3 months)were credited with no problems at all so hopefully you will be lucky too.

I might be being a bit thick here (it has been known!) but how do you tip a horse on racecallers.com? I want to make sure I get my 100 pp from PB adn don't want any excuses that I should have done something different.

    Thanks in advance

I had trouble getting my 100points for this. I signed up last week and placed a bet on the same day and didn't receive any points. I emailed a couple of days ago and got a reply saying you have to place a bet and to send my race caller account confirmation email which i did and stated i had placed a bet. Didn't hear anything back so emailed again today through the contact form on the site and two minutes later they had manually added the points on along with the 100points i had been waiting for from song people. I now have enough points for my first voucher :T. Hmmmm....what to choose though
