Tuesday 26/02/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I have /will
  • Checked online banking
  • Done clicks
  • Make lunch from storecupboard/freezer
  • Try and have a no spend day
  • Sort through my stationery stash for stuff for my OU courses instead of buying yet more files/paper/etc etc.
  • Work on submitting my first two assignments (not exactly moneysaving but paid lots for courses so moneywasting if not done:rolleyes: :o )
  • submit assignments electronically to save on postage costs;)
Hope you all have a good day, the sun is shining here although it is quite crisp.

This afternoon turn off computer and telly at the plug and do arts and crafts with the kids.

    On a mission
  • Not much for me I'm afraid, I even spoilt myself a bit by buying a coffee on the way down to the office.

I'll make up for it later by ebaying and bagging up my pennies to take to the bank tomorrow.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
  • If I can join in.... I'm sorting out for Ebay, doing a store cupboard check (and eating from there) plus having a big sort through of all supplies to make sure I don't need to buy anything for a week or so.

Stardrops will clean the bath, right? :)
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I think I'll add cleaning with stardrops to my list:

    -brought packed lunch in today
-made banana bread with DS2's discarded ( they were only 10 days past their best) bananas.
    -done clicks
-done on-line banking (reduced overpayment to one cc in order to make it through the month :o )
-did not buy a new vaccuum cleaner even though i really really want one
-will clean the bathroom with stardrops.
-will do Stage 4 of shopping for car-insurance MSE-wise.
  • Hi - I'm new on what is going to be a very long journey!! Can you please tell me what 'doing clicks' means
